How to format an external HDD to FAT32

Have you ever wished that an external hard disk could be formatted to FAT32 for some need or just out of curiosity ? You might say that is not possible. because Windows itself does not allow formatting of external hard drives to FAT32 format. But I teach you how you can do it.

What you'll need:
An external hard drive or a SATA hard drive with a USB adapter
a PC
GUIFormat program.

Step 1:
Connect the hard disk to a PC. Check that it's empty, the process will erase all content . Save your important files on the PC or on a USB stick .
Download GUIFormat program by clicking here. You can check with the antivirus that there is no malware. You can also go to the http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/ page and download the program by clicking on the image.
Step 2:

Step 3:
After downloading the program and have the hard disk connected to the PC, run the program. Then, a window like this will appear:

Where it says Drive, below you must choose the drive letter to format , that is, the letter that Windows assigns after you connect the hard disk to the PC. Be very careful, because choosing the wrong letter such as C: \ you could erase the hard drive of PC. To give you an idea look at the image below :

"C: \" generally corresponds to the hard disk of the PC that is being used and as you can see there is another hard drive with the letter "D". You can also check to see how much is the external hard drive you connected to know how to choose the right unit. After choosing the drive letter you must reformat only give the "Start" button and wait for the process to finish. WARNING: THE PROCEDURE WILL ERASE ALL HARD DRIVE CONTENT and formatted to FAT32. Notes: The process is safe and change the format of the hard disk to FAT32, which means that even if the disk is 250 GB already mentioned format has certain limitations, for example, does not allow storage of files that weigh more than 4GB. Consider this before deciding whether it suits the process or not.

If it isn't work for you to have an external hard drive formatted to FAT32 do not do this. Avoid the formatting process and possible loss of data if you are not careful.

Greetings and hope you find it profitable.
